went on a Tokyo + Los Angeles trip last week..
what excites me was the Tokyo stay. despite so many Tokyo trips, it was always the one night stay at the hotel near the Narita airport, thus i never had chance to go to Shinjuku or Harajuku.
luckily for this trip, i had a chance to stay over at Shinjuku area, and the hotel was walking distance to the Shinjuku shopping streets.
since it was my first time having 1.5 clear days there, i decided to spend a day at DisneySea (will blog bout that next time) and the next half day shopping in Harajuku.
saw this machine with loads of Rilakkuma, and i HAD to have a go a it. had 3 tries, couldnt catch any so i gave up.
:(
nearing the shop that i want to find.
HARAJUKU KIDDYLAND!
its like a huge 5 storey high shop that sells all sorts of cartoon toys.
B1- Snoopy Land
Lvl 1- Marvel, Capcom +misc
Lvl 2- Mario, Transformer, Lego etc
Lvl 3- Barbie, Bylthe Dolls etc
Lvl 4- hello kitty, My melody and rilakkuma
going up the stairs with loads of cute pictures painted
keep going, keep going!
huge kitty too!
*blurry pic*
thats the only photo i took of the whole area and it has to come out blurry. -_-
a whole lot of Rilakkumas!
so cute leh.
cui face with no makeup as i had to rush back to prepare for work in a few hrs time.
and it was SO SUPER hot outside, the hair in a mess, body perspiring and sticky. :(
colleague threw me that little plastic basket and said : jasmine, i think u will need that.
LOL.
in the end she bought more stuff than i did.
silently screaming : bring me home! bring me home!
awwwwwwwwwww......
useless dust collecting miniatures of cakes and stuff with Rilakkuma on it, but cute nonetheless!
too much stuff to choose from.
and is not cheap lor.
going for a shower!
socks also so cute.
Hello Kitty in traditional Japanese kimono
didnt buy any of these.
i should had. :(
now that i look at the photos again, they look so pretty and its a form of souvenir right?!
my favourite version of hello kitty is the one on the right, with the bunny hat!
i have like. 2 mid size HK doll in that version. one pink and one purple.
endless keychains/hp charms in that version of HK too.
KiddyLand = my HappyLand!
I LOVE HELLO KITTY no matter what other people says!
StarWars chopsticks.
like a cool.
HARAJUKU!
didnt get to meet any cosplay/goth/lolita dressers as it was too early.
i wish i did though, it will be so interesting.
back to Shinjuku, officially my favourite ramen in the entire world for now:
Ichiran Ramen.
this is what i see when i sit at the individual seating stall.
literally u face a wall with a little curtain, and all the food will be served from behind the little curtain.
selecting the different perferences for my ramen.
firmness for the noodle, richness n spicyness of the soup etc.
the bus ticket looking paper on the right is my order.
u have to order from a vending machine with loads of buttons.
for eg, if u like to have an egg, press the egg button, and a ticket will drop out.
so that day, i had Ramen + egg + extra portion of noodles
so hungry leh.
what i meant by individual stall seating.
AHHH my ramen.
so delicious.
now im drooling and typing away.
wish i can have it in sg!
rubbish that i bought in like......4 hrs.
Daiso, KiddyLand, 7-11, Fancl.
so many things to buy, too little time, need more money.
Tokyo, i will be back!
