CNY the tiger way.

ITS CNY!!!

is it because we are growing older and older each year that we are not looking forward to cny anymore? i remember counting down to cny when i was younger, looking forward to wearing the new clothes that are specially bought and chosen for the special day.. trying and trying on the clothes with different pairs of earrings/bangles/necklaces etc to get the best match..

well.. i was totally unprepared for this important day. i didnt get enough new clothes to start with, didnt buy any pairs of new shoes, didnt have any new accessories... up to a point i told the bf: "eh cny can postpone to next week or not?"

but i did get a new and made me super broke bag!
muahahahahahahahahahahahahahah ***evil laughs***

DAY 1

the 1st day we slept till 10am...
and we prepared and stuff like that, reached my uncle's house pretty late.

this year is quite new to us.
for the past 20 years relatives had been swarming to my house on Day 1, coming together to visit my grandparents first before visiting others.
however, since my grandparents moved to my uncle's new private estate last year, the first stop of the year was my uncle's house.
it feels so weird not having my house filled with people on the first day!

DAY 2



did a short flight to Jakarta and back in the afternoon till evening, and the bf fetched me from the airport back home, waited for me to prepare and we went visiting!
visited my 2nd aunt, my 1st uncle, and we went to bf's ah ma's house to gamble gamble gamble!

my dress was bought last october in BKK while holidaying with Irwin and Carol. didnt wear it since the day i bought it cos i thought it was quite ugly. bo bian CNY no clothes to wear so i took it out to try.. eh quite nice leh! why did i think it was ugly in the first place... 0.o
too much clothes. must be.
bf's mama said my dress v nice. hehe. and it only cost me like.. 10SGD i think. happiness!

[i was too bored that day and i counted the number of tops/shorts/dresses/jackets that i have not worn since the day i bought it.... got 28 pieces lor. why i nv wear them.. i also dont know. ok now minus 1 piece liao, cos i wore the dress for cny day 2.]

DAY 3

gathered at my 7th aunt's house for dinner and gambling!

there were loads more scattered everywhere - in the room, at level 2, on the rooftop.
because my aunt lives on the top floor, they made a door by hacking off a part of the wall, and they could access the rooftop as and when they like.

met up with Carol the other day to shop for clothes at town after coming home from flight. shopped from 3pm till like 9pm but i didnt manage to get much stuff cept for a pair of jeans lookalike leggings.




coincidentally bumped into Angel. she was shopping alone! ji sad right. hahaha. [ok la Angel, u were waiting for yr mum. ] and so we 3 decided to shop tgt but we walked like less than 10 steps and we decided to TAKE PICTURE FIRST!

finally managed to change my Athens flight away!

now i have loads of OFF days available.

meet up in holland v

met up with Nurulia a week ago at Holland V, and together with the bf, the 3 of us talked and chit chat about the past, the present and the future. well, only Nurulia and I chit chat cos we are more chatty and gossipy.

gossiped until the cow came home, had loads of laughs and it was fun trying to recall what it was like when we both used to work in Spizza Holland V. now that it has closed down, i really miss the days there!



probably my happiest job till now.
we had good manager and assistant managers who nv fail to crack a joke or do sth silly to make us all laugh, but then again when times are busy, they nv fail to help us out too. [not like some people who think that rank exceeds all and only look busy or worst, instruct ppl to do this do that at work when its supposed to be their duties.]

if only time can remain at those days.
though money was little, but i had fun. =)

a gift to myself

today i bought a new bag for myself.
=)
it is a gift to reward myself for..
i dont know la.

it was the bag which i wanted last week when i went to DFS.
but instead of the black one, i saw this grey one which i didnt see in DFS that day.
not only is it cheaper, it is also rare [ i hope!] .

bf wanted to buy the bag for me as vday's present but i told him i only want a card from him for vday, nth else. but i realised i also want to be in Sg for vday/CNY day 1. hope i am able to change my flight away!

am awaiting for my card eagerly. [hint hint bf, u better find me a chio card and write me long essay inside k?]
