much as i would like to write about 2008, i realised i got nth much to write about. =(

i graduated from Ngee Ann.

i went to Marina Mandarin for graduation D&D.


i went for a photo shoot.

i became a stewardess.

i went to many countries which i never even thought i would have went.

i made many many new friends.

i bought many things.


i turned 20.

sales sales sales!

post Christmas sales in Brisbane is SHIOK!

i brought 250$AUD and i spent 290$AUD... in 4 hours.

bought 5 FCUK Tshirts cos they are freaking much cheaper than that in Singapore. To think i spent 49.90$ when i bought my first ladies Tshirt in Singapore, 29.90$ when i bought my 2nd in Brisbane, and now during the sales its only 19.90$.
guys tshirts are only selling at 29.90$. but the size is very limited to L, XL and XXL.

anyway so one for me, one for jun, one for daddy, one for korkor and one for Ronny cos we agreed to exchange christmas presents.
LALALA i is a happy girl.!

bought a red Adidas sweater for Jun too. after discount is only 42$.
another good deal!

there were many shops in there that i didnt venture into because i got no money already. =( like Country Road, Aldo, Nine West, Mambo.... =(

its so quick its gonna be 2009 in 3 days!!

last 31st Dec, i spent it very happily with my dearest DW, QX and GJ.
(within a year,, DW became botak, QX disappeared, and GJ became china man.)

this year, i am celebrating it by coming home from New Delhi.
yay! =) at least i dont need to stay in there for the new year!

i asked Jun y didnt the Flyer got stuck when we were in the carriage. then we could have enjoy watching the scenery 6 hours more. =( and save 30$ x 12 x 2. 720$ leh!
maybe we could be rescued down using the escape sling. so cool. so exciting leh.

he said the Flyer got stucked because i sat on it. i is too fat.

to celebrate my bday

on the 20th of december,

i had an early bday celebration with Jun. =]

and to make myself happier, i painted my nails (not red)!

finally without the red for a few days.

very chio. very bling. very pink.

yonks ago i told him i wanted a birthday surprise, which he did fulfilled even though i managed to bust his surprise when i guessed what he wanted to do.

and and and, he was late for 1.5 hrs. i waited for him alone at bugis, strolling here and there and rotting away. =(

had a hunch that i will see Dewei at bugis, and i really did leh! my 6th sense, is zhun one. hoho.

the bf keep insisting we arrive at Suntec early, nt allowing me to go to Raffles City to shop. he said that there was a performance at Suntec and we canot miss the performance.

so from bugis, we walked to Suntec....

while i was peeing at Suntec, it suddenly hit me that we are going to the Flyer!

and so i busted his surprise when i asked him after i pee-ed. yay!

that silly boy bought the tickets about a week ago. luckily he did because the flight for that timing was sold out when we arrived there.

queuing to get into the carriage. weirdly the people in our carriage are mostly Singaporeans leh.

i feel like i'm a tourist leh. keep snapping photos, but hor. Singapore is really very pretty. very excited.

he decided to bring me to the Flyer because some donkey months ago after i went for a performance there, i told him i wanted to go. and i didnt think he would remember leh. but he did. =)

i think alot of ppl was starin at me while i tried to pose for the photo lor. =\

Jun said that the ticket girl said the 7pm ticket is the best because u can see the day light scenery of Singapore, and the sun setting view as well.

i met up with the mad girls for lunch and xmas present exchange.

finally ate Spizza after thinking about it for so long. =)

went to Swensens for our yearly Xmas gifts exchange.

every one is very happy that they have presents! u will be too if u have loads of gift bags on the table.

dubai-istanbul

Singapore - Dubai - Istanbul - Dubai - Singapore

my first 4 sector flight in 6 months!
dont know is lucky or what. long flights = earning big bucks, but it also means being away from singapore for a long long long long time.
7 days being away from singapore, i had to keep myself very busy if not my imaginations would run wild and i kept thinking about everything in singapore.
while in Dubai on the 6th day i craved so much for bak kut teh. ( FYI Dubai and Istanbul are halal countries. )

on touchdown day in Dubai, i went for the desert tour.
really very nice. and worth the money.
but hor, if u ask me to go again, i will die of dizziness upon remembering how the ride went on the desert ground.

*PS. my new Club Marc shoes. nice or not? =)
first pic shows some cool motor thing with super noisy engines. saw some ppl riding on the desert sand on those. but it would be damn sandy i think. the sand is so fine lor! imagine ur hair ur eyebrow ur nosehair all got sand stuck inside.


the driver is siao! he drove super fast and kept doing those swerve like Tokyo Drift. and we went up and down big sand hills small sand hills. my head is dunno hit the damn car ceiling how many times lor.

for 7 days we saw each other very very very often.

the lil girl was from another car. she looks so carefree and happy running about barefooted-ly.
there were a total of 9 crazy cars swerving and turning about in the desert.


my shadow is very long and my legs are very long but this is just an illusion.
AND and and the driver insisted on helping us take jumping photos because he wanted to haolian his photo skills very li hai.
li hai but still is my camera take one what.

we spotted alot of camels' shit on the ground.
the driver tricked ellis that they were mushrooms and that silly girl actually believes until i told her those "mushrooms" are camels' shit.

maybe now in my shoes still got abit, knock knock a while maybe can get few grains.

after dozens and dozens of bumping up and down and jerking left and right, i wanted to die! kept wondering how much more of this torture i have to endure.
boy was i never so glad to see the nice straight road before!


after the torturous yet exciting ride, we came to the tour company's camp.


very pretty! there's a big stage with tables and cushions surrounding them. all carpeted and very well maintained.


camel ride was like. 3 minutes long? but its really good enough because it felt just like slow motion turbulence.


there was belly dancing performances, snacks to eat, henna art to put, arabic costumes to try on, and dinner further on.

indeed an enjoyable tour now to think of it, minus the motion sickness.

in istanbul, its super super super dangerous to go out. even though there were a few of us. u never know when u are being tricked or aimed.


nonetheless, the hotel lobby is very chio.
very got the christmas feel.
istanbul was colddddddddddd and i only brought my adidas sweater and another super thin cardigan. orbi quack. i had to layer on as much clothes as possible so as not to catch a cold. i wore like a top, the cardigan, plus the adidas sweater but i still felt cold.


had lunch in this restaurant.
couldnt make out a single thing on the menu cos its all in turkish. had to point here and there and i learnt a lesson not to order turkey coffee again. its like drinking coffee mixed with grinded coffee beans.
very sandy.

went sight seeing at the landmarks of Istanbul- the Sofya Mosque and the Blue Mosque.


actually the mosques look quite similar and there were loads loads loads more mosques that looked like those 2 famous ones.


also known as the Sultan Ahmed mosque, its the national mosque of Turkey.

while walking back to the hotel , i saw some flower stores by the road. the roses are so colourful and chio.

and i spent the rest of the day in my hotel room because as i said, its dangerous to be walking about on the streets, esp after sunsets. which is about 5pm.

back in Dubai, we stayed in another hotel as previous.
the Angsana Hotel, better known if i introduce it as the sister company of Banyan Tree.
(dont tell me nv hear before Banyan Tree. really nv hear before go google.)
the hotel room is so damn chio can!
resort feeling, mixing modern with spa-like interior.
see my kimono, cute rite.
haha.
got big bed, big plasma tv, dvd player, free internet and a full furnished pantry somemore.


got microwave, electronic stove, full size fridge, washing machine, espresso machine, and full set of pots, pans, and utensils. got batter whisker somemore. can bake cake!

and i spent the whole day in the room, with the aromatherapy oil burning in the burner, watching "fan gun ba, dan chao fan" on the mega plasma tv.
shiok life for a day..

i rather be in singapore though. with my love ones and domo. =)
