antoinette

our first visit to Antoinette, Mandarin Gallery. :)
it was hsiaowei's birthday and we decided to had dinner there.

as we were in a group of 5, it took us an hour's queue to be seated in the restaurant. it was a long wait, despite the short queue. i reckon the seats are too limited, as well as the patrons who refuse to budge even after they have finish their meals.
as it was more of a tea/scones place, many still sat around and chat while poor us were queuing and waiting for a table.
there were a few group of people ahead and behind us who got their seats more quickly, as they came as a couple or 2 friends.

the wait was not the turn off, the crew were.
a few of the patrons queuing were running out of patience, and commented to the crew in a irritated tone that the waiting time was too long. guess what we heard the crew say??
"the people refused to leave" or sth in that similar tone.

how can a service personnel say that?!
gia and i couldnt believe our ears.
even if its the fact, she shouldnt say it out loud, isnt it?

well.. that aside, everything was great after we were given a table.
LIKE FINALLY.
i was in super tall wedges and my legs were about to break.

so, photos!

a very neat and chic menu.

thats us after a happy hearty meal (plus juicy gossips and loads of laughters!)

antoinette reminds me very very much of Laduree in Paris.
nice ambience, expensive cakes and pastries, light meals, cosy inset, and very french.
me like. :)
