feeling appreciated.
sometime last week, i operated on a SIN-HKG-SIN flight.. during this flight, loads of unexpected things happened, particularly on the hongkong-singapore sector.
on this hongkong-singapore flight, famous Hongkong actor, Mr Chow Yun Fatt was on the flight. he, being a well known and popular actor, has no airs at all! he was humorous, friendly, and also smiley. he even offered to take photographs with us individually. :) thats what i call 'people with CLASS'. uberly nice!

purposely smudged my colleagues away in the background.
they were making funny faces! :(
also, i had 2 messages in Facebook from 2 different passengers! i have no idea how they found me, but it was nice that they did because both of them complimented me on my service on the flight.
i remembered there was a couple, and the gentleman asked for a cup of red wine before the flight, for his gf. he mentioned that his gf has anxiety due to flying, and was very nervous. i did what i thought would be helpful, to explain to the gf that turbulence are very natural, and we would be experiencing a little of that during the flight, because from SIN-HKG that was what happened. throughout the flight i checked on her, asked her if she was alright as and when, because i could tell she was very very afraid. everytime a turbulence occur, i will see her shutting her eyes and gripping on to her bf's hands.
and just yesterday, i realised that the gentleman had send a message to me, saying that his gf forgot to thank me..
this is his message to me:
Hi jasmine,
My girlfriend and me were on the flight from hkg-sin with you. She mentioned that she had forgotten to say thank you to you for making her feel comfortable throughout the flight. So thank you for all your help once again.

how nice is it to feel appreciated? :D
im glad i made someone's day.. and i hope flying will not be such a pain for her the next time round.

im so lucky to have 3 of my friends on my flight!!! my bff-twinnie-cousin carol, batchie pammy, and irwin. despite the shit and busy like mad flight, it felt better to have them around.
here we are!

me and twinnie with our soft toys.
im holding on to her "Mr Picklepants" and she is holding on to my "buttercup".
we bought them for each other last year when we were in london together!

she's eating cheese swiss roll.

the 4 of us fooling with photo booth's multi shots!

i love paris
Paris has always been a romantic and lovely place to be. i love everything about Paris, well.. almost. the sky, the buildings, the food, the shopping, but of course, not including some of the people's attitude towards the yellow skin and dog poos lying around everywhere on the streets.
my last paris trip few days ago, i was supposed to fly with one of my kakis. but due to family reasons, she didnt make it for the flight. so i was left alone, with no friends. i love flying with my friends around.. i know i've said that a zillion time but it really makes a difference. however! i've made new friends!
this is my room in our new hotel, PARIS LES JARDINS DU MARAIS.
small, and cosy, but a little too dark.
if i draw the curtains i can see the opposite room's window. no privacy!
a small kitchenette. me like!
got stove, dishwasher, sink and mini bar!
avant garde couch at lobby below my room.
joined a few of my colleagues to sightsee, even though i've been there before. these few colleagues, most of them havent been to paris before, so i brought them around and we went shopping too!
at first i was comtemplating to go sight see, or to just rot alone in the hotel room.. but since one of the girls, Cordelia, told me to GO AND DONT PANG SEH LEH... so i did! and im glad i did cos i used the opportunity to reminise the memories of Paris! the last time i've seen those places was.. about 2 years ago? canot even remember who i went with!
our first stop, LADUREE!
not that i want to rave about it again, but its the best place ever!
dessert, snacks, drinks.. yummy!
(but uber expensive)
bread with smooth laduree butter
colleague's salmon sandwich
om nom nomz
happy cordelia with her sandwich!
my usual club laduree sandwich.
canot finish ! too big a portion..
4 girls' dessert. ice cream flavours of: mimosa, crystalized violet, rose petal, salted caramel, and almond + 1 coffee eclair
they keep claiming my rose petal ice cream is bandong flavour. IT IS NOT! mine is atas rose petal flavour ok.
metro station of our hotel
look how cute this is!
clock + lamp post combined.
me and cordelia on the van that we rented.
first stop was to go to this Ganesh Temple to drop off one of my colleague.
its so weird to see an indian temple in Paris!
plus the temple was not what i've imagined.
i was somehow expecting to see a colourful and big temple, but instead, this temple is just sandwiched between any random shop in Paris.
what an eye opener!
an event that willing be taking place sometime this week
interior of temple
loads of devotees on a random afternoon
cordelia and i after being 'blessed' by the priest
our first touristy area
i forgot what this is, but i've been here before though.
a full view of Paris
us few, with another one helping us take photo.
2nd touristy area, Arc de Triomph.
us girls. luckily we are of the same sightseeing category: TOUCH AND GO.
meaning, we dont need to enter the monument or go near it or know any info about it, as long got photo can alrdy! hahaha.
spot our lousy green van. nonetheless, it saved us a lot of travelling time and effort!
me on the lousy green van.
some war memorial monument
silly cordelia 'owling'.
a glimpse of THE LV TOWER.
but im not keen.
Bernice and i basking under the paris sun.
spot the little eiffel tower behind!
eiffel tower!
look at the blue sky. so neat!
a little function of my camera, colour swap.
also the now banner of this blog. doesnt it look like its from a postcard?
i like this pic cos i look tall n slim in here!

'pink' sky. i love it!
we heart paris!
my left hand and cordelia's right hand.
our hands make a perfect heart shape!
carousel beside eiffel tower
how magical!
