scary accident

today we met with an accident while driving towards Holland Village from town.
it was a straight road, and after the lights turned green, bf started to accelerate and suddenly this bicycle came out from behind us and he just came cycling into our path, knocking into the left mirror while bf was still acclerating.
AND THEN BANG!
THE MAN ROLLED ON THE FLOOR LIKE DUNNO HOW MANY TIMES, AND HIS BICYCLE IS CUI.

bf pulled over the car and went down to check if the guy was alright, also, wanting to chide him for causing a dent and a long scratch by the left doors.
however when the guy finally came walking towards the car, it seems that he was in such a pain and fear. it was a thai construction worker. all the while the thai guy was saying sorry and he was so afraid that bf would ask him to make compensation for his car.

he even said thing like: sorry sorry i know its my fault. im v lucky the car behind me didnt bang me. im still alive. sorry sorry.

of cos bf didnt bear to scold him, let alone ask him to make compensation. instead he asked the thai guy if he was alright, if he needed to go to the hospital, and whether he needs a lift back home.
however i guess the guy was too shocked he just rejected all bf's offer.

i is heartpain one. indeed he was v lucky not to be run over by the cars behind because it was a heavy traffic flow, and i wonder how his bicycle was. i guess it was his only way of transport to and fro work and now, the bicycle should be a wrang of wasted metal.

bf said he wanted to give that guy some money to see a doc or even buy a bicycle, but his wallet was with me, in the car.
coincidentally that was what i wanted to do, to get off the car and pass the guy some money, yet i didnt because i thought bf would find it ridiculous.

sighs.

the days with love.

finally had a weekend with the bf after being away for many weekends. he must had been bored without me around. [HAHA. ownself say only.]
went to town and walked, hoping to buy some new year clothes too.

bought this from F21 at 313 that day.

i is like it a lot!
shall save it for Cny i think.

watched pretty much all the nice/interesting movies, i.e Avatar, Alvin and the chipmunks, Have u heard about the morgans, The spy next door, Toothfairy, Bodyguards and the assassins.




had WARAKU that day and we had the funniest and amusing experience that day.

we wanted to order this bacon roll thing, but wasnt sure what ingredient was wrapped inside the bacon.
so this happened:

BF: [points to a Japanese word in the menu] hello, can i know what is this?
Waitress [also named Jasmine btw]: oh.. erh.. this is bird.
ME & BF: o.0! bird!!??!
BF: [acts cool] oh.. ok. bird ah.

we were like super confused and amazed at the BIRD ingredient, but were trying to look nonchalent. bird meat? what bird? restaurant got bird meat one meh?

suddenly,
waitress says: OH SORRY sorry ! is bird egg, not bird.

i couldnt stand it and i burst out laughing damn loud.

when the dish came i just had to laugh and laugh everytime i look at the bacon roll.


is super funny la!

cold in Amsterdam

Its the winter season and every where is cold, gloomy, and depressing.
i'm in Amsterdam now where there's snow and all on the ground.
somehow the atmosphere and feeling of the place makes me feel rather lonely, even with the whole set of crew going out together for dinner.

had a great and filling dinner at this cafe which i went the other time round too. forgot the name already. forgot to take photo of the signage too. how smart. had ribs and baked potatos and garlic bread and escargots.
the escargots ARE DELICIOUS TO THE MAX.
ok i sound like mad but its really nice.
tried to take photos of it but the photos do not do the escargots justice. looked like a lump of black stuff but it was really good. glad that the snails did not die in vain. [?] muahaha. [well, imagine u died in the purpose of being food to someone/something but then u taste like fruck. wasted tio bo?]

the snow on the ground melts, making the ground wet and slippery. the footprints on the snow makes the supposedly white ice turns greyish and brown. trees are bare and there was not much people walking around. oh and there was ice forming in the river too.

tried stepping on the layer of untouched snow underneath a tree just now.
pretty much soft and velvety, i think i kinda like it. [took some pictures but i didnt bring my cable for my camera. thus photos would have to come later, or maybe never.]
its really cold out there!

luckily my 3 layer of clothings and scarf kept my body rather warm, the boots and socks did a great job too. my feet didnt feel cold at all. all thanks to my cheap cheap winter boots which i bought from shanghai few days ago.
my winter hat kept my ears in tact, head [and brains working]. had my gloves too, and with them tucked in my pockets, it was still comfortable. however the thick gloves also meant that my fingers are fat and stumpy, making it hard for me to type on my phone or to use my camera. felt retarded wearing the gloves, but do i have a choice?
the only thing was my face was cold and numb from the wind, and my cheeks and nose felt like ice when i tried to feel them.

im glad im only here for 2 days.
if i were to stay here the whole time i'll probably be v depressed.
hate the winter season, love the snow though.
how ironic.

today, bf woke up and had me throwing my temper and showing him my pissed off and sulky face, throwing my stuff everywhere and stomping into the house without even looking or talking to him.
yet he did not even get a wee bit angry at me.
instead he had to calm me down, coo and hug me a thousand times before i finally decided to speak to him.
[well, it was actually his fault but then again, it wasnt on purpose. and THATS NOT THE POINT.]

the point is:
if i were to wake up with someone showing me his/her temper early and first thing in the morning and spoiling my day, that person is die until cannot. not matter who's fault it was.

and then we went to Far East Plaza for thai massage.
it was fun to see bf being tortured and hear the masseur say: sir, very stiff. no good..
MUAHAHAHA.
bf's expressions were worth taking photos but i didnt because i am not so zek ark.
i merely laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.. ok you get it la.

met up with Wanxian, Giacinta and Hsiaowei for dinner too. [Candy, u nv come, so many gossips to update u about.]
was fun talking and gossiping about the usual poor souls.
loads of seeing of upskirts from the restaurant we were in too. [ok tikopehs, interested in knowing where can come ask me! hahahahah!
had loads of laughs taking ugly closeup photos too.
hope Gia dont post them.
i freaking looked like an ugly egg.
and hope Gia gets well soon! dont eat what tomyum le hor.

it was supposed to be my shopping day,
but in the end the bf bought himself 4 tshirts, 1 long sleeved top, and 1 shirt, while i bought only a pair of sandals [which i wore immediately and threw the old one away] and a dress from River Island.
i quite like the dress!
shall take photo while wearing the dress.. next time.

love shopping in Singapore.
especially with great company and all the sales going on around after all the public holidays.

also, minusing the trouble of converting the currency into SGD which i have to every time im overseas.

and that should mark the end of 2009,
with the ending spent in Istanbul and Dubai.
